Single tank, two tank and technical dives are half
day dives (approximately 4 hours).
Departure times are: 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
We are on the water for about four hours (depending
on the distance to the wrecks, the divers' interval times, etc.).
Please see our Calendar to check on availability of boats.
If you are not part of a larger group, please refer to the
individual divers page to see our walk-on prices.
Bringing equipment?
Please report to the Dive Shop 1/2 hourprior to
departure.
Renting equipment?
Please arrive at the Dive shop 1 full hourprior to departure.
Please be courteous to your fellow divers and be on
time! Please call if you are going to be late, otherwise the boat
may have to leave without you.
Note: If you are bringing your own tanks, G+S will not
fill any tanks made prior to 1989 due to their unsafe nature, the safety of
our customers and employees, and insurance restrictions.
The Boats
G+S is happy to announce that we have not increased our
group charter prices from last year, however...
Due to ever-increasing fuel prices, G+S must charge a fuel surcharge of $30
on full day charters and $15 on half day charters.
G+S Watersports has several boats available for SCUBA, fishing and
more. If you would like to take a group on a cruise around the
Fathom Five National Marine Park, if you want to go SCUBA diving or
snorkelling, or if you want to have a relaxing time fishing or down
rigging, give us a call and we will see what we can do to accommodate
you needs.
Availability
G+S Watersports charters are available from spring "break up" to
winter "freeze-up" (approximately mid-April through to Christmas).
We do morning, afternoon and evening runs departing at approximately
9:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and just before dark. Select here to see our
calendar of bookings.
Ship's Captains
The Captains of the G+S charter vessels are Bill, Claus, and Gary.
Our Captains are seasoned
professionals with years of experience on the waters of Georgian Bay
and the North Channel. All have Transport Canada's Master Limited
Certification and possess a complete knowledge of the many wreck
sites in and around Tobermory. The Captains work with your Dive
Master to ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure.
Safety
All G+S Watersports' boats meet Maritime Safety Standard and are
Transport Canada approved. G+S Watersports will provide all Dive
Masters with passenger manifests. These must be completed and
returned to the Shop prior to the boat leaving the dock. The Captain
reserves the right to limit the choice of dive sites after due
consideration of the weather, boat traffic and other factors.
Specifically, weather conditions may limit navigation on Georgian
Bay. G+S Watersports, therefore, is unable to guarantee access to
any specific dive site on any particular day.
If, on the day of the Charter, the Captain decides that he cannot
safely take you and your group to the chosen dive site/s, or if the
boat is unavailable due to mechanical failure, your deposit will be
returned.
Certification
C-Cards are required for all dive trips. Advance Cards and Log
Books are required for deeper diving.
Refunds
G+S Watersports does not make refunds to divers who elect not to
dive due to seasickness or other causes.
